Dear Governor X,

Please protect wolves. They help nature and make the world better. Don’t let them be hurt or lose the laws that keep them safe. I love wolves and want them to stay wild and free.

WOLF FACTS

Love learning about wolves? Check out these fun wolf facts below!

Wolves love to howl!

Wolves howl to talk to each other. It helps them find pack members, warn other wolves to stay away, or just say hello!

Wolf pups are born with

blue eyes!

All baby wolves have bright blue eyes when they’re born. Their eyes change to yellow or amber as they grow up.

Wolves live in families called packs!

Just like people, wolves stick together in family groups. A pack usually has a mom, a dad, and their pups!

Both mom and dad wolves take care of the pups, and even older brothers and sisters help babysit.

Wolves LOVE to play.

Just like dogs, wolves play games like chase and tug-of-war to build trust and learn important skills.

Each wolf has a unique howl.

No two howls are the same! Wolves can recognize each other just by the sound of their howl.

Wolves have strong feet!

They can travel up to 30 miles a day on their paws, walking through forests, snow, and mountains.
